Cliff and Kristen Lee Announce Matching Gift Campaign!

The Lamar Porter Revitalization Committee announces that Kristen & Cliff Lee will match gifts until 01/15/2014. Over the last 6 months contributions of over $100,000 have been donated toward the project. Another $70,000 matched by the Lee’s would provide additional funding needed to complete the work on Phase 1.
Stadium Security Improved

Thanks to the generous donations that have been received, improvements have begun at the Lamar Porter Complex. In order to enhance security at the stadium, overhead doors have been installed at each entrance to the concourse. Security meansures are also being made to the stadium's exterior windows.

The Lamar Porter Complex Revitalization Committee is excited to announce that Arkansas native and current MLB All-Star Cliff Lee and his wife Kristen have joined our campaign to renovate Lamar Porter Field. On November 5, 2013 the Lee's hosted a first-class party in their backyard where they announced that they would be making a matching gift to the Lamar Porter Complex.

Saving Lamar Porter Field

Little Rock, AR - Agrotesque slab of asphalt now occupies the high-profile location along Interstate 630 in Little Rock that once was home to Ray Winder Field. That parking lot is being used as a source of motivation by a group of prominent Arkansans, which has stepped up its efforts to ensure that a similar fate doesn't befall nearby Lamar Porter Field.

Brooks Robinson to be Honorary Chair

Little Rock, AR - MLB Hall of Famer and Little Rock native, Brooks Robinson agreed to become the Honorary Chair of the Lamar Porter Complex Revitalization Committee. In his letter of support, Mr. Robinson stated, "Not only did I sharpen my baseball skills at Lamar Porter, I even once won a bubble blowing contest there and proudly rode a new bicycle home. The memories of playing there and the friendships that I made have lasted all my life."
